About GDA Hockey – We Are Committed to Our Client’s Success


GDA Hockey is a full-service hockey management agency that sees the big picture. We know that becoming an elite hockey player takes time and commitment. And that doesn’t happen overnight. It takes extreme dedication, a relentless work ethic, and attention to detail. From player development and academics, to contract negotiation, endorsements, and more, we take great pride in working with exciting amateur and professional talent.


We are guided by our three pillars: Guidance, Development, and Achievement. These pillars form the foundation and structure for everything we do at GDA Hockey. We are closely connected with all of our players and their families to understand their individual goals, expectations, and needs – both on and off the ice. With our years of professional experience, we have the meaningful connections and opportunities to help nurture and guide our clients beyond the traditional athlete representation and help them realized their goals and dreams.



Sports Psychology

A personal, certified mental training coach works with our athletes in solution focused work to help individuals overcome obstacles, gain personal strength and clear vision of their goals and plans for attaining them.

Player Development

Matt Cooke will share experiences with our clients about his own career path, as well as provide guidance, motivation, support and off-season training guidance. He will serve various roles for you as a teacher, counselor, advisor, advocate, and ally. Matt played over 1,000 games in the NHL and will be a huge resource to our clients.

Financial Education

GDA Management provides assistance for its client’s major purchases by providing services within Real Estate, Automobile, In-season Rentals, Disability Insurance, Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Financial Planning, Product Development and Distribution, and Not-for-Profit/Charitable Foundation Development.

Development Camp

Each year, GDA Management hosts a 3-day development camp at Hollydell Arena in Sewell, NJ. The mini development camp provides a well-rounded experience focusing on the key elements needed to be successful in our sport. One of the goals for our camp is to provide players with the opportunity to participate in high-end drills, workouts and break-out teaching sessions prior to heading out to their respective JR, NCAA and Pro team camps.

Off Season Training

Breakdown and analysis of game, practice and individual film to improve your understanding of the game, on-ice awareness, pattern recognition and overall in-game decision making. Access to a Certified Functional Strength Coach providing functional movement testing - which is a series of 7 full-body movements designed to assess specific areas weaknesses, prevent injury and improve proper mechanics. This innovative approach to training builds a solid athletic foundation while staying focused on each athlete’s individual goals.

Nutrition

Access to a Licensed Dietician focusing on Individualized and evidence-based nutritional counseling for our athletes. The goal is to advise athletes on what foods should make up their diets while exposing athletes to more nutrition conscious lifestyles in order to optimize their performance.
